Grassroots Effort Begins to Blossom

You probably noticed it this summer while strolling along North Avenue. Bobby Pantuso noticed it. He came to a TETNA meeting and expressed his concern over the abundant crop of weeds and grass overtaking North Avenue’s sidewalks in recent years. He suggested an organized clean-up along North Avenue from 76th Street to 60th Street.
Kick start the summer with this great family activity. Young and old can do their part to make a difference in our community. Bring your brooms, shovels, favorite weeding tools, and the desire to boost pride in North Avenue. The city of Wauwatosa will provide and collect garbage bags.

Will there be coordination with the city to put up some warning signs at either end of North Ave to slow traffic while a herd of kids and other people sweep gutters and pull weeds?
We are working with the area alderman and Dept. Of Public Works for some coordination for the event. You have mad a great point that will be brought up with them.
