Schoonmaker Creek Project Update
There is an open house this Thursday about the Schoonmaker Creek Watershed Flooding Mitigation Project. Click here to read about the status of the project.
From the City of Wauwatosa: Attend the open house on September 12 between 5 – 7 pm at Wauwatosa’s City Hall in the Lower Civic Center. It’s open house style, so you can come at any point in that window. There is no formal presentation. Our staff will be there to walk through the project details and answer your questions. You’ll see that we’ve studied two alternatives for reducing flooding. We’ll present recommendations in October 2024, and we anticipate the Common Council will soon choose one of the alternatives. To be clear, we’re still very early in this process. Project financing has not yet been determined. There will be future meetings on this topic.

If you are looking to shop neighbors’ treasures, that’s great too. Stay tuned – We’ll be posting a list of participants closer to the Rummage Sale dates.

Get your LIMITED EDITION Est. 1908 Pabst Park T-shirts and sweatshirts. Order by Monday, April 15, 2024, to get your preferred size and color. We will contact you once our friends at Giltee have our order ready in May. Sizes SM – 3XL available. T-shirts are $20 for SM-XL, $22 for 2XL, and $23 for 3XL. Sweatshirts are $30 for SM-XL, $32 for 2XL, and $33 for 3XL.
Why 1908? We uncovered a German-language newspaper advertisement selling lots in Pabst Park in 1908 after the estate of Captain Pabst sold the hops farm land. Check out the ad on our Facebook page here.

PPNA EGG HUNT
Join us for a fun-filled Egg Hunt event sponsored by your neighborhood realtor, Tom Telderer of Re/Max Lakeside and local hotspot, The Little Village Play Cafe.
Get ready to hop into spring with our exciting egg hunt on April 6th 11:30am- 2:00pm at Washington Elementary. Bring your family and meet your neighbors for a day of searching for colorful eggs filled with treats and surprises.
Don’t forget to bring your baskets. There will be games, activities, food truck and plenty of fun for everyone.
Even if you don’t have any littles to join the egg hunt activities, come enjoy lunch from Tony’s Taco Truck!
