Here is the latest copy of the Tosa Watch from the Wauwatosa Police Department. The WPD is looking to establish Safety Liaisons in each neighborhood association who would communicate with the WPD and relay information to neighbors about crime and safety issues. We have one liaison for the PPNA already, but could use another. If you would be interested in this position, please email, pabstpark@gmail.com, as soon as possible, as the WPD is interested in hosting a meeting with all liaisons to get this group off the ground later this winter. Thanks!
Washington Elementary Girl Scout Troop 8391 will be caroling the evening of Thursday, Dec. 17th in exchange for a donation of new or gently used children’s books or a small cash donation. The girls will visit your house, collect books or a monetary donation, and deliver a few fa-la-las and lots of smiles.
The Troop is building a Little Free Library at Washington School.
To schedule a visit between 6 and 7:30 p.m., please email the girl scouts at troop8391@gmail.com .
Santa emailed me and said he would be interested in stopping by if the PPNA would host a holiday event!
We just need a willing elf to pick a date and coordinate an event! Got an idea? Want to make some Holly Jolly for the neighborhood? Perhaps a cookie exchange or hot cocoa social? Santa is ready and willing to visit with those good little girls and boys in Pabst Park! We can use space at Washington School to host an event if we pick a weeknight in December.
Ghosts, Goblins, Princesses and Pirates can Trick or Treat this year on:
Saturday, October 31st
6pm-8pm
Any household within the PPNA borders, 60th to 68th from North to Lloyd, may hand out treats. The Fall Newsletter will have the official PPNA Pumpkin to hang in your window to show your participation. This is a PPNA sponsored event, please support your neighborhood association by joining the PPNA or renewing your membership at this time. Glow Lights will be given out to participants at the membership drive. Two year members and those who have mailed in the membership form will have Glow Lights delivered to their home.
There will be two PPNA sponsored CIDER STOPS. At our cider stops, we will be collecting nonperishable food items, toiletries or monetary donations for Tosa Cares. Visit http://www.tosacares.org for a list of preferred donation items. Have your little ghost or goblin give a little something back to the community for their basket of goodies! If there is a chill in the air, feel free to grab a warm cup of apple cider at either location.
Cider Stops are 2119 North 61st and 2119 North 66th.
