Whole Family Will Enjoy “FlipCom”

Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Wauwatosa Historical Society and the 50th anniversary of Wauwatosa West High School, the Tosa West Trojan Players will present an original play, “FlipCom: Tosa Now and Then,” on June 1, 2 and 3. The play, at Wauwatosa West, will benefit the historical society.

“FlipCom” was written by Milwaukee native Steve Stajich, who has written for a number of TV sitcoms and was a staff writer for “Prairie Home Companion” on NPR. The play looks like a TV sitcom featuring a bewildered “Dad” who discovers he can leave his present-day Wauwatosa family—and the pressures that go with it—and enter a black-and-white 1950s-style “Father Knows Best” sitcom. FlipCom is family-friendly entertainment that plugs into our collective TV conscience for a laugh-filled evening of live theater.

Tickets–$15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors–will be available at www.wauwatosahistoricalsociety.org.
